What is Employee Coaching?
Coaching is basically a method of teaching, guiding, and training an individual or a group of individuals with the purpose of developing innate talents and skills in order for a smooth transition into another position, implement a new strategy, enhance or build new skills, or to achieve specific goals or aims. There are many types and methods of coaching, and can happen on a personal or group basis by way of seminars and workshops, and under the close supervision of a certified coach.
Coaching plays a vital role in employee development, whether at work or at play, and is fast gaining headway as an effective and efficient method of attaining the desired end results. As of present, the (unique) practice is still a relatively new concept, where majority of the practicing professionals, individual or company –employed, and their outlined programs do not fall under any independent or government regulating body, and as thus are self-regulating at the most.
